Makita 18V LXT Tools
Makita 18V LXT Cordless Tools
18V LXT is Makita's largest cordless platform, and one battery runs everything in this collection. Popular picks include the XTR01 compact router, XVJ03 jig saw, XMT03 multi-tool, XPK01 3-1/4-inch planer, XRJ04 recipro saw, XOB01 5-inch sander, 23-gauge pin nailer, and 21-degree framing nailer. Job site gear covers HEPA wet/dry dust extractors, compact vacuums, blowers, inflators, and lights. X2 tools such as the XSR01 and XSH06 circular saws, chain saws, and string trimmers run on two 18V LXT batteries for 36V.
What to Look For
- Single or X2. Single-battery tools stay lighter. X2 tools double the voltage for saws and outdoor equipment.
- Brushless or brushed. Brushless tools, like the XTR01 router and XSR01 saw, are noted in the title.
- Combo kits. Kits like the XT614SX1 6-piece set bundle tools with 3.0Ah batteries.
- Battery size. Pair saws and X2 tools with 5.0Ah or 6.0Ah packs.

Makita 18V LXT Tools FAQ
What does X2 mean on Makita tools?
X2 tools take two 18V LXT batteries at once and run at 36V. That gives saws, chain saws, and trimmers more power while using the same packs as the rest of your LXT tools.
What warranty do Makita LXT tools carry?
Makita lithium-ion cordless tools carry a 3-year limited warranty, as do Makita batteries, chargers, and pneumatic nailers. Makita also offers a 30-day return guarantee on Makita products. Repairs by others, alterations, and abuse are excluded.
