Makita Track Saws
Makita Track Saws: Cordless 36V, XGT, and Corded
Makita track saws plunge into sheet goods and ride a guide rail for straight, clean cuts in plywood, MDF, and countertops. The cordless XPS01 runs on two 18V LXT batteries for 36V, and the XPS02 adds AWS for wireless extractor start. The 40V max XGT GPS01 plunge track saw is also AWS capable. The corded SP6000J and SP6000J1 cover shop use. This collection offers many ways to buy: tool only, kits with 4.0Ah or 5.0Ah batteries, and bundles with 39 or 55 inch rails, rail clamps, connector kits, and protective bags.
What to Look For
- Power source. The XPS01 shares batteries with other LXT tools. XGT suits users on the 40V platform. The SP6000J has no batteries to manage.
- AWS. AWS models start a compatible dust extractor wirelessly when the saw runs.
- Bundle contents. Compare what each kit includes: rail length, clamps, connectors, and bag.

Makita Track Saws FAQ
Do Makita track saws come with a guide rail?
Some do. Tool-only models and the SP6000J have no rail. The SP6000J1 and several XPS01 kits include a 55 inch rail, and some bundles add a second rail, connectors, clamps, or a bag. Check the kit title before you buy.
What warranty covers Makita track saws?
Cordless track saws are lithium-ion tools, so they carry Makita's 3-year limited warranty, as do Makita batteries and chargers. The corded model carries the 1-year limited warranty. Rails and blades are accessories and are excluded.
