Track Saws
Corded and Cordless Track Saws
A track saw rides on a guide rail for straight, splinter-free cuts in sheet goods and long boards, with less setup than a table saw. Festool leads the lineup with the TS 55, TS 60 KEB, TSV 60 scoring saw, TS 75 EQ, and cordless TSC 55 K and HKC 55. Makita offers the 36V (18V X2) LXT XPS01 and the corded SP6000J. Milwaukee has the M18 FUEL 2831 plunge track saw. DeWALT offers the FLEXVOLT 60V MAX DCS520 and the corded DWS520CK kit with 59- and 102-inch track. The Bosch GKT13-225L ships in an L-BOXX case.
What to Look For
- Cut depth. Larger saws like the TS 75 cut thicker stock. 55 and 60 class saws handle most sheet goods.
- Battery platform. Cordless saws run on FLEXVOLT, M18, LXT, or Festool packs. Stay on the platform you own.
- Rail length. Kits with 55- or 59-inch rails crosscut plywood. Rip a full sheet with longer or joined rails.
- Scoring. The TSV 60 scores before cutting for chip-free edges on laminates.

Track Saws FAQ
Do track saws work on other brands' rails?
Some do. Festool and Makita saws share a rail profile, and several other rails follow it. Other brands use their own rail design, so check compatibility on the product page before mixing.
Tool only or kit?
Buy tool only if you already own batteries on that platform. A kit adds batteries, a charger, and often a rail. Plan for at least one rail long enough for your typical cuts. See guide rails.
