Milwaukee Rotary Hammers: Cordless, Corded, and Dust-Ready Kits
Milwaukee rotary hammers in this collection run on three power sources. M12 models, the 2412 and the M12 FUEL 2416, are the lightest for overhead anchors. M18 models range from the brushed 2612 and brushless 2613 to the M18 FUEL 2912, 2712, 2915, and 2715, plus SDS MAX tools with ONE-KEY. Corded models include SDS Plus, SDS MAX, and spline-shank hammers for daily concrete work.
What to Look For
- Platform. Stay on the M12 or M18 batteries you already run, or go corded for nonstop drilling.
- Battery size. Kits run from 4.0Ah M12 packs to dual 12.0Ah M18 packs on SDS MAX tools.
- Dust extraction. The 2912-22DE and 2915-22DE kits include a dust extractor.
- ONE-KEY. The 2918 and 2718 SDS MAX hammers connect to Milwaukee's ONE-KEY app for tool tracking.

Milwaukee Rotary Hammers FAQ
Rotary hammer or hammer drill?
A hammer drill handles occasional small holes in brick and block. A rotary hammer hits harder and drills concrete faster, so it is the right tool for frequent anchor work or larger holes. See hammer drills for lighter-duty options.
Is an M12 rotary hammer enough?
For overhead anchors, electrical boxes, and small holes, the M12 FUEL 5/8" SDS Plus is light and capable. For larger holes or all-day drilling, step up to an M18 FUEL 1" or 1-1/8" model.
