Snappy Countersinks, Hinge Bits, and Quick Change Drill Sets
Snappy Tools makes quick change drilling accessories for cabinet and trim work. This collection is mostly countersinks: single sizes from 3/32 x 3/8 to 9/64 x 1/2, trim screw and gold screw versions, an 82 degree countersink, and sets up to 25 pieces. You will also find self-centering hinge bit sets, No. 1 and No. 2 square driver bits in 3 and 6-inch lengths, plug cutters, a 5mm shelf pin guide, and kits like the Cabinet Maker's Set and Handyman's Set. Some bits and adapters use a Festool Centrotec shank.
What to Look For
- Countersink size. The first number is the pilot drill, the second is the countersink diameter. Match the pilot to your screw gauge.
- Shank type. Most Snappy tools use a 1/4-inch hex quick change shank. Festool Centrotec versions and an adapter suit Festool drills.
- Hinge bits. Self-centering bits come in 3 and 5-piece sets, and replacement drills are sold separately.
- Sets or singles. A set covers mixed screw sizes. Singles replace the one size you wear out most.

Snappy Tools FAQ
What does a self-centering hinge bit do?
A spring-loaded sleeve sits in the countersunk hole of a hinge and centers the drill, so the pilot lands in the middle every time. That keeps doors from shifting when the screws pull tight. Snappy sells replacement drills such as 5/64 and 7/64 inch.
Can I use Snappy bits in a Festool drill?
Yes. Choose bits with a Festool Centrotec shank, like the 3-piece hinge bit set, or add the Centrotec to 1/4-inch hex quick change chuck adapter to run standard Snappy bits.
