Hose Connectors and Adapters for Dust Collection

A connector is often the weak point in a dust collection setup, so a tight fit matters. Festool offers rotating connectors for D 27, D 36, and D 50 hoses in antistatic and standard versions, locking 27 mm tool connectors, hose sleeves, and a 36 mm reducing sleeve for the Planex. DeWALT has a universal quick connector for its extractors and a dust port connector for the DCS577 circular saw. Other fittings include a Bosch VX450 Y connector, Milwaukee steel and swivel end connectors, a Makita 1-1/4-inch wand connector, a Mirka quick connector, and a Jet 4-inch connector sleeve.

What to Look For

  • Diameter on both ends. Measure the hose and the tool port before ordering.
  • Antistatic. Match antistatic connectors to antistatic hoses so static can discharge.
  • Rotation and lock. Rotating connectors stop hose twist. Locking connectors stop the hose pulling off.

Vacuum Connectors FAQ

Can I connect a Festool hose to another brand's tool?

Often, with the right fitting. Tool ports vary by brand, so check the port diameter and pick a connector or reducing sleeve sized for it.

Why does my hose keep falling off the tool?

A worn or loose fit is the usual cause. A locking tool connector holds the hose to the tool port and releases with a button when you want it off.
