Festool Drill Bits
Choosing Festool Drill Bits by Material
Festool drill bits are sorted here by the hole you need to make. For clean holes in wood there are brad point bits, including a 7-piece set from 1/8 to 1/2 inch and a Centrotec stubby wood set. For flat-bottomed holes there are Forstner sets, including the ZOBO set from 15mm to 35mm. For metal there are Centrotec HSS bits from 3mm to 10mm. Twist drill bit sets run from 3.0mm to 6.5mm. A self-centering bit and a bit with depth stop handle hinge and shelf-pin work.
What to Look For
- Material. Brad point for wood, HSS for metal, Forstner for flat-bottomed and overlapping holes.
- Shank. Centrotec bits need a Centrotec chuck. Other bits fit a standard keyless chuck.
- Depth control. Depth stop bits keep shelf-pin and hardware holes consistent.
- Sets or singles. Systainer3 cassettes organize full sets. Singles replace the sizes you wear out.

Festool Drill Bits FAQ
Which Festool drill bit set should I buy first?
For woodworking, start with the 7-piece brad point set or the 18-piece drill and driver bit cassette. Add a Forstner set when you need hinge cups or flat-bottomed holes.
Do I need a Centrotec chuck for these bits?
Only for bits with Centrotec in the title or a CE code. The chuck is sold in Festool drill chucks. Check the title before ordering.
