The Byrne Multi Slot Blade Set Pro for Festool (model VT 55 CN 3/5, Byrne item 180862) is a multi-blade kerfing kit for track saws. This is a drywall slotting system designed for cutting three or five parallel kerfs in the back of drywall and plasterboard in a single pass, so the board can bend around curves.
Bending drywall for curved walls, arches, and radius soffits means cutting a series of evenly spaced kerfs through the back paper and core. Doing that one cut at a time with a standard blade is slow and hard to keep even. This set stacks multiple blades on the arbor so one push down the rail cuts three or five slots at once, evenly spaced every time.
The set includes five high-speed steel blades, each 120mm in diameter, 1.5mm thick, with a 20mm bore and 24 teeth. Five spacers set the spacing between blades. Run all five blades for maximum slots per pass, or three for a gentler bend or a narrower strip. A locker secures the blade stack on the arbor.
An aluminum alloy case cover encloses the blade stack on the saw, and Torx T15 and T20 drivers are included for installation. It is built for the Festool TS 55 and TSC 55 track saws.
