Guide Rail Registration Bench Dogs for 20mm MFT Benches
SpiRail Bench Dogs register your track saw guide rail to the bench for repeatable, square cuts on any 20mm-grid MFT-style table. The spiral groove locks Festool, Makita, Bosch, and Mafell rails in place and keeps the rail dead-square through the full length of the cut.
A unique spiral groove. The whole point of the dog.
Traditional rail dogs are just round pins. They drop into a 20mm hole, register your guide rail, and that's it. SpiRail Dogs do the same job better. The unique spiral groove machined into the body of each dog gives you something to grab, something that tightens quickly when you twist, and something that releases just as fast when you're done. The result is better handling and a better user experience. It's a small design detail. It matters every time you pick one up.
- Unique spiral groove for grip and quick tightening
- Better handling than smooth-body dogs
- No tools required
- Fits 20mm holes, Guide Rail Brackets, Track Stars, Wingman, and Dash-Boards unique slotted holes in our benchtops.

Fits every major guide rail brand.
SpiRail Dogs are compatible with all major track saw and guide rail brands. Festool, Makita-style rails, Bosch, Mafell, DeWalt, Metabo, Powertec, Milwaukee, WEN, and Grizzly. The dogs slip into the bottom slot of any standard guide rail and provide the registration point that the rest of the Dash-Board system, Guide Rail Brackets, Track Stars, the Wingman, registers off of. One pair of dogs covers every rail in your shop and every accessory in the Dash-Board ecosystem.
- Festool, Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Mafell
- Metabo, Powertec, Milwaukee, WEN, Grizzly
- Slips into the bottom slot of any standard guide rail
- One pair works across your entire rail collection

The key to Dash-Board's accuracy and simplicity.
Every dimensional accessory in the Dash-Board system depends on the rail being where you put it, and SpiRail Dogs are how that happens. They register on the Guide Rail Brackets for square crosscuts. They drop into Track Stars for full-sheet rips. They slip into the Wingman's milled slot for added crosscut and rip capacity. They also fit into slotted holes on Dash-Board and ShortCut bench tops.
- Registers rails on Guide Rail Brackets for crosscuts
- Drops into Track Stars for rips
- Slips into the Wingman for extended capacity
- Fits into slotted holes on Dash-Board and ShortCut bench tops

Solid aluminum. Built for daily use.
SpiRail Dogs are machined from anodized aluminum with zinc-plated steel hardware, the same level of build quality as every other Dash-Board accessory. They don't deform under repeated use, they don't corrode in shop or job-site conditions, and they hold their fit with the bench's 20mm holes after years of being pulled in and out. They're also one of the most affordable and most essential pieces in the system, every accessory in the rail registration chain depends on them.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What are SpiRail Dogs and how are they different from regular rail dogs? SpiRail Dogs are precision-machined aluminum rail dogs that feature a unique spiral groove along the body, designed to improve grip, handling, and tightening speed compared to traditional smooth-body rail dogs. The dogs slip into the bottom slot of any major guide rail and provide a 20mm registration point for benches and Dash-Board accessories. The spiral groove is the defining feature, it gives you something to grip when tightening or removing the dog, which speeds up setup changes during multi-step workflows.
- Are SpiRail Dogs compatible with my track saw? SpiRail Dogs are compatible with all major track saw and guide rail brands, including Festool, Makita-style rails, Bosch, Mafell, DeWalt, Metabo, Powertec, Milwaukee, WEN, and Grizzly. The dogs slip into the bottom slot of any standard guide rail, no rail-specific hardware is required. If your saw uses a standard guide rail with a bottom T-slot, the SpiRail Dogs will fit it.
- Do I need SpiRail Dogs to use my Dash-Board accessories? You need SpiRail Dogs to register your guide rail on Track Stars, the Wingman, and the front Guide Rail Bracket for full system use. The Guide Rail Bracket Set ships with one SpiRail Dog included for the front bracket registration. For ripping and crosscutting workflows that use Track Stars or the Wingman, you'll need additional SpiRail Dogs, typically one pair per workstation, sometimes more for extended setups.
- What workbenches do SpiRail Dogs work with? SpiRail Dogs work with all workbenches that have 20mm holes, including the Dash-Board bench, ShortCut bench, Festool MFT3 and 1080, Benchdogs Ultra MFT, Kreg ACS, and DIY MFT-style benches built on a 20mm grid. They also slip into the slotted holes on the Dash-Board and ShortCut bench tops when you are working on shorter pieces, which is a use case unique to the Dash-Board system's bench top design.
- How many SpiRail Dogs do I need? Most Dash-Board owners run between one and three pairs of SpiRail Dogs depending on workflow. For basic crosscut work with the Guide Rail Bracket Set, the single dog included with the brackets is enough. For ripping on Track Stars, you'll want a pair for the outboard registration. For extended rip configurations using the Wingman, plan on having two or three pairs ready so you can stage multiple cut setups without swapping dogs between them.
