The Festool 201113 Granat Abrasive Sponge, 120 Grit, 6-Pack is a hand sanding abrasive for finish prep on shaped, profiled, and sensitive surfaces. This is an abrasive sponge designed for hand sanding and even surface preparation. Model Number: 201113. If you need a sanding abrasive that can follow contours instead of flattening them, this is the right kind of accessory to keep on hand.

What matters here is the combination of 120 grit and a compressible foam body. The 120 grit gives you a controlled cut for surface prep, while the soft core helps spread pressure more evenly across the contact area. That makes it useful when you are cleaning up edges, sanding molded trim, or working around slight curves where a hard sanding block can leave uneven results.

The Festool Granat abrasive sponge uses a double-sided abrasive coating, which gives you more working surface before you reach for another sponge. On small detail work, that matters. You can flip it over and keep moving instead of stopping to swap out sanding media every few passes. For painters, woodworkers, and remodelers doing prep work by hand, that is a real time-saver.

Size is another practical part of the design. At 3-7/8" x 4-3/4" x 1/2" (98 x 120 x 13 mm), it is compact enough to control with one hand but thick enough to stay comfortable during longer sanding sessions. The extra thickness helps the sponge conform to profiles without collapsing too much, so you still get feedback in your hand while working delicate surfaces.

This abrasive sponge is a good fit for finish carpentry, paint prep, furniture touch-up, and general sanding where machine sanding is either too aggressive or just awkward. If you are sanding trim, detail profiles, curved parts, or any area where consistent hand pressure matters, this Festool sanding sponge makes more sense than forcing a flat pad into a shape it was never meant to follow.
