The Klein Tools Hard Hat, Vented, Full Brim Style, Orange (60861BR) is a full brim safety hard hat built for comfort over a full shift. This is a hard hat designed for head protection on construction, industrial and utility jobsites, with a orange PC/ABS shell, a full brim for sun and rain coverage, and a 6-point suspension that fits hat sizes 6-1/2 to 8.

This hard hat is rated Class C, Type 1, and it has adjustable vents that open or close for maximum air circulation while meeting the safety standards it is certified to. Class C means no electrical insulation rating, so this is the right choice for general construction, carpentry, mechanical and industrial work where heat is the bigger concern than contact with energized conductors.

Klein certifies it to a long list of standards: ANSI Z89.1-2014 (high and low temperature), CSA Z94.1-15, EN397:2012+A1:2012 lateral deformation, and EN12492:2012 front, back and side impact. That breadth matters for crews working across the US and Canada or on sites that spec European standards.

The accessory system sets it apart from a basic hard hat. Patented mounts on the front and back hold optional Klein Tools headlamps securely and precisely, with no straps or zip ties. Universal accessory slots on both sides accept hearing protection, a face shield and other attachments.

Comfort is engineered in. The suspension uses a flexible open-frame design for a better fit and improved air circulation, and a large ratchet knob makes one-handed adjustment easy even with gloves on. The soft neck pad pivots to clear bandanna knots and ponytails. The padded sweatband and top pad are breathable, sweat-wicking, odor resistant and machine washable.

The hard hat weighs 17.6 oz (499 g) and comes with reflective stickers and a user guide. It is made in the USA with global components. Replacement sweatbands (KHHSWTBND), top pads (KHHTOPPAD), chin straps (KHHSTRP), suspensions (KHH6SPN), rechargeable headlamps (56062, KHH56308) and a turbo fan (60821) are sold separately.
