Overview
The Klein Tools REFLEKTOR Black Chrome Vented Full Brim Class C Hard Hat with Headlamp (60996) is a premium vented full brim hard hat with a reflective chrome finish and an included rechargeable headlamp. This is a Class C, Type 1 hard hat designed for construction, utility and industrial work where top impact protection, airflow and a hands-free light all matter.
Protection: the 60996 is a Type 1 hard hat with Class C rating, meeting ANSI Z89.1-2014 (R2019) and CSA Z94.1-15 (2025). It also meets EN397:2012+A1:2012 for lateral deformation and EN12492:2012 front, back and side impact clauses. Class C means it is not rated for electrical protection, which is the tradeoff for the vents.
The REFLEKTOR finish is vapor-deposited black chrome over a rugged PC alloy shell, for a high-visibility reflective look. Large adjustable vents improve airflow while still meeting the standards above.
Klein's patented accessory mounts on the front and back let Klein headlamps attach securely and precisely without straps or zip ties. This model includes the Klein Tools Rechargeable Headlamp (Cat. No. 56062) with charging cable, rated at 300 lumens All-On/Boost, 215 lumens Spot/High and 100 lumens Flood/Low, with runtimes of 4, 12 and 22 hours. Universal accessory slots on both sides accept hearing protection, a face shield and more.
Comfort features: a flexible open-frame 6-point suspension improves fit and air circulation. The padded, breathable, sweat-wicking sweatband and top pad use evaporative cooling (wet them, shake them, and they cool for hours) and are machine washable. A large-knob ratchet adjusts one-handed with gloves on, and the soft neck pad pivots to clear bandana knots and ponytails. Hat sizes 6-1/2 to 8; weight is 2.3 lb (1 kg).
Who should buy it: electricians on non-energized work, ironworkers, general contractors, utility crews and site supervisors who want a full brim for sun and rain, a light that is always on the hat, and a hard hat that stays cool.
