This is a combination square designed for layout, marking and alignment work where a 6" blade runs out of reach: wide boards, framing, panel layouts and longer depth settings.
The blade reads 0 to 12" with 1/8", 1/16" and 1/32" graduations. Those graduations are etched into the stainless steel, so they are high-visibility, permanent and resistant to wear in tough environments.
The body is cast zinc (Zamak-3) with an orange powder-coat finish, giving a solid, comfortable feel and reducing hand fatigue over a long day of layout. Its precision-machined 45-degree and 90-degree edges deliver the accuracy layout depends on, and the body detaches so the blade can work on its own as a rule.
