The Klein Tools Phoenix Series Panoramic Welding Helmet Outer Shield, 5-Pack (KWHOSHIELD) replaces the clear front cover on Klein's panoramic welding helmet. This is a welding helmet outer shield designed to protect the auto-darkening filter (ADF) and lens of the Klein Phoenix Series Panoramic Welding Helmet (Cat. No. 60141) from spatter, debris, scratches and impact.
Outer shields are a consumable. Spatter pits them and grinding dust hazes them, and every pit sits directly in your line of sight. Swapping a cheap clear shield is how you keep the expensive auto-darkening filter behind it clean and protected.
These shields are clear polycarbonate, impact-rated to ANSI Z87.1+ and CSA Z94.3. The snap-in, user-replaceable design installs tool-free. Each window measures 5-5/16" x 8-7/16" (13.5 x 21.4 cm) and is about 1/16" (0.2 cm) thick.
