The Klein Tools Hard Hat, Premium KARBN Pattern, Non-Vented Full Brim, Class E (model 60345) is a full brim safety hard hat for electrical and construction work. This is a Class E Type 1 hard hat designed for head protection where electrical hazards are present.
Because it is non-vented and Class E, this hard hat is tested up to 20kV. It meets ANSI Z89.1-2014 and CSA Z94.1-15, plus EN397 lateral deformation and EN12492 front, back and side impact requirements. The full brim adds shade and sheds rain off your neck.
The shell is a rugged PC/ABS composite finished in a hydro-dipped KARBN pattern. Patented accessory mounts on the front and back hold optional Klein rechargeable headlamps (56048 and 56049) securely, with no straps or zip ties. Universal accessory slots on both sides accept hearing protection and face shields.
Inside, a flexible open-frame 4-point suspension improves fit and air circulation. The padded, sweat-wicking sweatband and top pad are machine washable and use evaporative cooling: wet them, shake them and they keep you cooler for hours.
Fit adjusts from size 6-1/2 to 8 with a large ratchet knob you can turn one-handed with gloves on, and the soft neck pad pivots to clear a bandana knot or ponytail. The hat weighs about 17.6 oz.
