Overview
The Knipex 08 22 185 S01 2026 Limited Edition 7-1/4-in. Needle-Nose Combination Pliers pair Knipex's everyday needle-nose combination plier with handles in exclusive special colors. This is a needle-nose combination plier designed for gripping, holding, bending and cutting during installation and repair work. Model number 08 22 185 S01 is the first release in a limited series of three, which makes it a working tool and a collector's piece at the same time.
The head is slim and the jaws taper to a point, so you can get into crowded junction boxes, control panels and engine bays where a standard lineman's or combination plier will not fit. The pointed jaws are anti-twist, which means the tips stay aligned when you clamp down on something small instead of scissoring apart.
The gripping faces do more than a typical needle-nose. A convex contour gives a stable 3-point contact on flat parts like sheet metal tabs and terminals. The pipe-gripping area is asymmetric, so round stock and hex profiles can be held and turned with force without slipping. A milled groove in the jaws holds nails, pins and bolts so you can pull or set them.
The cutting edges are induction-hardened to approximately 64 HRC and cut cable as well as soft, medium-hard and hard wire. Capacity runs to 1/8-in. hard steel wire, 5/32-in. medium-hard wire such as nails, and copper or aluminum cable up to 1/2-in. diameter. The tool is forged from high-grade special tool steel, multi-stage oil-hardened, with a polished, black atramentized head and a riveted joint. It is made in Germany to DIN ISO 5746 and weighs 0.53 lb.
The KNIPEXTEND comfort handles are the system piece. Clip on KNIPEXTEND ColorCoded Clips to mark your tools on a shared jobsite, or TetheredTool Clips to connect the pliers to the KNIPEX TetheredTool System lanyards and adapters when you are working off a lift or ladder. Clips are sold separately.
Buy this if you want the standard Knipex 7-1/4-in. needle-nose combination plier and like the idea of a numbered limited run, or if you are shopping for an electrician, HVAC tech or mechanic who already knows Knipex. Note that this is not a 1000V insulated tool.
