Overview
The Stanley 18-in. Large Trigger Clamp (FMHT83275) is a one-handed bar clamp that opens to 18" and closes with a squeeze of the pistol grip. This is a trigger clamp designed for woodworking glue-ups, assembly, and holding work during cutting, drilling and fastening. The clamp delivers up to 300 lb of sustained clamping force.
Throat depth is 3-1/8", measured from the bar to the center of the jaw pad. That reach lets the jaws grab farther in from the edge of a panel or frame, which matters on wide stock and face frames.
The I-beam bar has a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance, and the I-beam profile adds rigidity so the bar resists flexing when you crank down hard on long assemblies.
Pull the movable jaw off and reinstall it on the opposite end of the bar and the clamp becomes a spreader. Use it to push apart racked frames, separate glued parts, or hold a cabinet side out to final width.
Removable non-marring pads cover the jaws so finished surfaces, veneers and softwoods come out without dents. Pop them off when you want more bite on rough stock.
This size is built for cabinet carcasses, door frames and panel glue-ups where you need real squeeze across a wider span. Woodworkers, cabinetmakers, remodelers and serious DIYers will all put it to work.

Pro Tip
To spread instead of clamp, pull the sliding jaw off the bar, flip it, and slide it back on from the other end so the pads face outward. It is the quickest way to push a racked cabinet back to square.
