DeWALT Circular Saws
Choosing a DeWALT Circular Saw
DeWALT circular saws cover every battery platform plus corded models. 20V MAX options include the 6-1/2-inch DCS391 and DCS565 and the 7-1/4-inch DCS570 and XR DCS590, with POWERPACK and 8.0Ah kits. The ATOMIC DCS571 is a 4-1/2-inch compact saw, and the XTREME 12V MAX DCS512 cuts at 5-3/8 inches. For heavy framing, look at the FLEXVOLT 60V MAX DCS578, the DCS573 FLEXVOLT Advantage saw, and the corded DWE575 and DWS535B worm drive.
What to Look For
- Blade size. 7-1/4-inch saws are the framing standard. 6-1/2-inch and smaller saws are lighter for sheet goods and trim.
- Motor layout. Sidewinder saws like the DWE575 are lighter. The DWS535B worm drive puts more torque behind long rips.
- Electric brake. Models with a brake stop the blade quickly after release.
- Accessories. The DW3278 rip fence guides parallel cuts, and replacement blades are listed alongside the saws.

DeWALT Circular Saws FAQ
20V MAX, FLEXVOLT Advantage, or 60V MAX?
20V MAX saws cover most framing and sheet work. FLEXVOLT Advantage saws like the DCS573 run on 20V MAX packs and gain power with a FLEXVOLT pack. 60V MAX saws like the DCS578 need FLEXVOLT batteries and come closest to corded power.
What warranty covers DeWALT circular saws?
Most DeWALT power tools carry the standard DeWALT warranty: 3 years of limited coverage, 1 year of free service covering maintenance and parts worn from normal use, and a 90-day money-back guarantee. Select products carry a 7-year limited warranty instead. Coverage applies to the original end user buying from DeWALT or an authorized seller such as The Tool Nut, and proof of purchase may be required.
