Makita Blades

Makita Saw Blades for Circular, Plunge, and Miter Saws

Makita blades are matched to Makita saws. Plunge and track saw blades come in 6-1/2-inch with 28 to 60 teeth, including 60T ATB and TCG grinds. Circular saw blades include 7-1/4-inch 24T Max Efficiency framing blades, sold single or 3-pack, 40T crosscut blades, and 10-1/4-inch framing blades. Miter saw blades run 10-inch 80T and 12-inch 100T. For metal there is a 12-inch 60T ferrous blade and a 5-7/8-inch metal blade. Cut-out saw blades, Starlock multi-tool blades, and T-shank jig saw blades are here too.

What to Look For

  • Tooth count. 24T cuts fast for framing. 40T to 60T leaves a cleaner edge. 80T and 100T are for fine miter cuts.
  • Diameter and saw. Match blade size to the saw: 6-1/2 for track and compact saws, 7-1/4 and 10-1/4 for circular saws, 10 and 12 for miter saws.
  • Material. Use the ferrous metal blades only for steel, and wood blades for wood and sheet goods.

Makita Blades FAQ

ATB or TCG on a plunge saw blade?

ATB (alternate top bevel) teeth slice wood fibers cleanly, which suits plywood and crosscuts. TCG (triple chip grind) teeth hold up better in hard, abrasive materials like laminate, melamine, and solid surface.

Do cordless saws need special blades?

Not required, but thin-kerf blades remove less material, which helps runtime. Several Makita blades here are labeled for cordless saws.
