Precision Rip-Width Tool for Track Saw Parallel Guides
The Rip Gauge sets exact rip widths on your parallel guides with kerf compensation built in, so the dimension you dial in is the dimension you cut. It is the measuring tool that makes repeatable track saw rips foolproof on a Festool MFT, Dash-Board, or Track Star setup.
Sets multiple stops with a single reference. Kerf already factored in.
The Rip Gauge is a precision setup tool that positions stops at a fixed distance from a track saw blade so you can cut to a finished dimension without factoring in blade kerf. It replicates your blade kerf using one of three swappable plates (1.8mm, 2.2mm, or 2.4mm), so you set the carbon fiber extension to your desired finished measurement and the cut lands exactly on that dimension every time. No mental math. No subtracting kerf width. No double-checking before you cut.
- 3 swappable kerf tabs included (1.8mm, 2.2mm, 2.4mm)
- Kerf tabs store on-board the Rip Gauge
- Swap kerfs plates quickly
- Comfortable all-metal knob

Repeatable rips up to 25½" without re-measuring.
The Rip Gauge sets stops up to 25½" (648mm) from either side of your track saw's blade. This range covers most cabinet, furniture, and panel-cutting dimensions, including cabinet door widths, drawer fronts, face frames, and shelf depths. The Rip Gauge measures 30.312" (770mm) overall and works with stops on both sides of the blade. Use it to duplicate the dimensions of existing parts without measuring, set the gauge against your guide rail and slide your stops up to the carbon fiber extension. Made to work with Rip Stops, Flip Stops, and Parallel Guides.
- Sets stops up to 25½" (648mm)
- Works on both sides of the blade
- Duplicates existing part dimensions without measuring
- Pairs with Rip Stops, Flip Stops, and Parallel Guides

Works with every major guide rail and track saw brand.
The Rip Gauge supports track saw blade kerfs of 1.8mm, 2.2mm, and 2.4mm through three swappable kerf tabs included with every unit. These three kerfs cover the most prevalent kerf widths of all major track saw blades, including Festool, Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Mafell, Metabo, Milwaukee, WEN, and Grizzly. If your saw uses a standard kerf in that range, the Rip Gauge works with it out of the box.
- Festool, Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Mafell
- Metabo, Milwaukee, WEN, Grizzly
- Any track saw with 1.8mm, 2.2mm, or 2.4mm blade kerf
- One Rip Gauge, multiple saws

One reference replaces calibration.
Traditional parallel guide systems require independent calibration of each guide and verification that both sides match, which verified buyers cite as the reason they switched from systems like TSO. The Rip Gauge is a single, physical reference for setting multiple Dash-Board Parallel Guides to precise dimensions off the blade with kerf already factored in on both sides of a guide rail. Set once, cut all day. Pull it back out tomorrow and set the same dimension in seconds.
- Single physical reference for both parallel guides
- No independent calibration of left and right
- Kerf already factored in on both sides
- Repeatable setups across multiple sessions

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a rip gauge and how does it work? A rip gauge is a precision setup tool that positions stops at a fixed distance from a track saw blade so you can cut to a finished dimension without factoring in blade kerf. The Dash-Board Rip Gauge replicates your blade kerf using one of three swappable plates (1.8mm, 2.2mm, or 2.4mm), so you set the carbon fiber extension to your desired finished measurement and the cut lands exactly on that dimension every time.
- What is the maximum cut length the Rip Gauge can set? The Rip Gauge can set stops up to 25 1/2" (648mm) from either side of your track saw's blade. This range covers most cabinet, furniture, and panel-cutting dimensions, including cabinet door widths, drawer fronts, face frames, and shelf depths. The Rip Gauge measures 30.312" (770mm) overall and works with stops on both sides of the blade.
- What blade kerfs does the Dash-Board Rip Gauge support? The Dash-Board Rip Gauge supports track saw blade kerfs of 1.8mm, 2.2mm, and 2.4mm through three swappable kerf tabs included with every unit. These three kerfs cover the most prevalent kerf widths of all major track saw blades, including Festool, Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Mafell, Metabo, Milwaukee, WEN, and Grizzly. The kerf tabs store on-board the Rip Gauge, and swapping between them takes seconds with no tools.
- How does the Rip Gauge work with parallel guides? The Rip Gauge works by replacing individual calibration of parallel guides with a single, kerf-corrected reference. Traditional parallel guide systems require independent calibration of each guide and verification that both sides match, which verified buyers cite as the reason they switched from systems like TSO. The Rip Gauge is a unique, single, physical reference for setting multiple Dash-Board Parallel Guides to precise dimensions off the blade with kerf already factored in on both sides of a guide rail.
- What is included with the Dash-Board Rip Gauge? The Dash-Board Rip Gauge includes one Rip Gauge unit and three Kerf Plates sized for 1.8mm, 2.2mm, and 2.4mm blade kerfs. The Rip Gauge is built from a lightweight, rigid carbon fiber extension and aluminum body and stores all three kerf tabs on-board. The unit measures 30.312" (770mm) long by 3.75" (95mm) wide and works with any guide rail brand using a standard kerf in the 1.8mm to 2.4mm range.
