Yes, you can. We tried it with the new braided hose 36mm X 3.5m (500681) You can also stow it and close the hose garage lid. We also tried it with the older style 36mm X 3.5m hoses. We found the same results as the braided hose. Longer 36mm hoses will connect to the Midi, you just can't store them in the hose garage.
