The Tool Nut talks about Milwaukee's new M18 Bluetooth Jobsite Speaker (Video)
It may just be time for a workshop sound system upgrade with the release of Milwaukee's newest M18 Bluetooth Jobsite Speaker, and The Tool Nut's very own Doug and David are here to tell you why.
Loaded with a new set of features and upgrades, this new portable Bluetooth speaker isn't just a durable jobsite companion. Housed inside that rugged red and black housing is a powerful 3.75 inch woofer with a high frequency tweeter that can really belt out the sound, making it a noticeable upgrade from previous iterations.
A plus for some, a neg for others, Milwaukee's new 2954 M18 Bluetooth Jobsite Speaker is entirely cordless. That means M18 batteries only will run this thing, no AC adapter or power plug available. Thankfully, it takes all M18 batteries, so you'll have plenty of juice to go for up to 18 hours (if you use the 48-11-1850 M18 REDLITHIUM XC 5.0Ah Battery, run time varies by battery capacity).
One sweet addition is the ability to daisy chain these speakers, and not just two but as many as you can handle, thanks to the new AUDIO LINK capabilities. From there, you can fine tune bass and treble settings, but you won't be able to tweak mids at all. Considering this is a jobsite option, that's not the end of the world, especially considering how good these actually sound already.
It also features USB-C 3.0A charging capabilities as well, so you can plug your phone directly in and set in the nifty little phone bay on top of the speaker. This is an invaluable addition that keeps your phone safe in the workshop, stowing it out of harms way and neatly with the speaker.
